30 Days of Hair!!!!! Day 12!!!!

I saw an idea on pinterest where a girl did a side braid, like this, with a simple black ribbon.  I wanted to do a similar thing, but with a more colorful ribbon and incorporating it into the actual braid.  I took the ribbon, wrapped it around my head and incorporated it into a french braid that I started just before my ear.  At the end of the braid I used the ribbon to tie around and secure the braid.  I don't know which I liked better(her way or my way), but I do wish I knew how to expose more of the ribbon while I am braiding my own hair.  I can do it visually on someone else, but not on myself.  Any ideas?  Enjoy!!
